The Staff Chaplain provides pastoral counseling and spiritual support to patients, family members/significant others and staff throughout the hospital. Usually this involves development of a "parish" within the hospital. This position exists to accomplish work that does not fall under a specific routine, like floor care, carpet care, terminal cleaning, disaster or emergency cleaning, etc. The Project Technician is responsible for the improvement of the condition and appearance of the Hospital by using specific machinery and equipment.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High School Graduate or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Knowledge:
Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care and project-related equipment.

Kind and Length of Experience:
Floor care experience in large, multi-building facilities

Provide customer service to patients by transporting patients in a safe and efficient manner and assisting the EVS department when needed to maintain patient rooms, public areas and service areas by completing tasks that support departmental and organization processes. This is a customer service position that will be defined by specific job/task assignments as needed by the patient transport and EVS departments. The Food Service Worker II is responsible for food preparation, assisting catered events, and general customer service and cashiering responsibilities. Responsibilities may include any one or all of the following tasks: Food preparation, hot or cold, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining orderly appearance of equipment and work area, general cashiering functions to include socially interacting with customers, handling customer service needs and issues, operating cash register and following all cash handling guidelines. Required to perform job duties in compliance with regulatory and operation standards.

EDUCATION:
¿ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
¿ One to three months related experience and/or training; or
¿ Equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

The Staff Chaplain provides pastoral counseling and spiritual support to patients, family members/significant others and staff throughout the hospital. Usually this involves development of a "parish" within the hospital. The chaplain actively serves as a member of an ecumenical pastoral care staff sharing in activities such as staff meetings, on call responsibilities, and providing hospital wide worship experiences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree in Theology/Human Relations from an accredited theological school, university or seminary; four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an ACPE accredited training center; endorsed by one's denomination for hospital ministry.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of pastoral care and counseling skills, especially as practiced within the hospital setting. Certified by a participating organization in the Spiritual Care Collaborative such as The Association of Professional Chaplains.
