Position Summary
This position ensures organizational excellence related to customer service and quality of care while promoting excellence in the cultural experience at assigned hospital. The functions of this role relate to: utilization management, discharge planning, and social services. These roles include responsibility of assigning patient type, arranging timely discharges and patient throughput for assigned population.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Masters degree in Social Work and L.I.S.W. license required
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Human Growth and Development, Psychosocial Interventions, Medical Terminology, Psychopathology and Treatment, Health and Wellness Philosophy. Demonstrates knowledge of hospital operations and payment systems. Demonstrates knowledge of biopsychosocial development for the age of patients served.
KIND AND LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE
Five or more years experience as a L.I.S.W., preferably in a hospital setting.
Additional Job Information
Part-time, evening shift, 1:30p-10p every Thursday/Friday and every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday).
