Position Summary
The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CCNP) is an Advanced Practice Nurse delivering individualized comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families with attention to physical assessments, preventative health care, education and medical management of acute and chronic illnesses. The CCNP practices case management for patient on the critical care services line in collaboration with a Physician, according to guidelines set forth in the Standard Care Arrangement.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Licensed RN in the State of Ohio, Masters Degree in Nursing, Certificate of Authority in the State of Ohio, and Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by nationally-accredited certifying board required for the NP, Current credentials to practice in accordance with hospital policies.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
KIND AND LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE
Three years related clinical experience in the care of the critical care patient, Effective customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, professionally appropriate analytical and organizational skills.
Additional Job Information
Day shift position with rotation to nights and/or evenings. 10 or 12 hour shifts. Includes every third weekend and a holiday rotation. 3 years critical care experience. Acute Care Nurse practitioner preferred. FCCS preferred. Excellent communication skills with a positive innovative perspective.
